The CLT entrusted IP Polska, the branch of Havas Intermediation in Poland, with media sales for RTL 7, a general programming channel which is to be launched on December 7.

RTL7 is a general programming family channel, with programming from 7 A.M. to 1 A.M. including films, serials, entertainment and news. The programming offer targets primarily the 15 to 39 age group, and will especially focus on attracting youngsters with musical programs and cartoons. The channel will emit its non-coded program from Luxembourg via the Eutelsat Hot Bird 1 satellite, which will be relayed by Polish cable networks. It will also be received by households equipped with a "direct reception" antenna. For 1997, it is estimated that cable/satellite will provide a technical coverage for 38% of households.

For the record, IP Polska, present in Poland since 1993, is the exclusive representative of 7 local radio stations (Radio Vanessa, Radio El-Legnica, Muzyczna Elka, Radio Gorzow, Radio Classic, Radio RMI, Radio AS) and of two national press titles (Dziewczyna and Popcorn). As for IP Network, since February 96 it is in charge of representing the national channel Polsat, and will represent RTL7 in worldwide exclusivity outside of Poland.

Under its sales operator designation IP, the Havas Intermediation group is also present in ten other countries in Central and Eastern Europe (Belarus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey and Ukraine), where it already markets advertising space for over twenty television channels and various other media.
